baltimore city police announce a new public enemy number one. they are on the lookout for christopher goode. he's wanted on a number of domestic violence warrants. "mr. good is a violent and dangerous individual who has no regard for human life let along women. he savagely beat one woman and took anothe hostage and brutally beat her." goode is known to frequent the south baltimore area. if you've seen him... call police. fox45 has teamed up with the most popular crime mapping website on the internet. leaves at least eight people dead. andrew spencer reports the crash on interstate 40 also injured more than a dozen people, wednesday, when the church bus apparently blew a tire. --reporter pkg- as follows-- from the air, you can see all that remains of the front of this tractor trailer...covered in soot and water after the fire that erupted when it collided with a church bus on i- 40 in eastern tennessee. the bus carried 18 people -- mostly seniors from front street baptist church in statesville, north carolina...whose pastor spoke overnight. "we do know that there were several that went on to be with the lord." the tennessee highway patrol believes the bus driver lost control... "the bus had a blow- out on one of it's tires. we believe it to be the front steer axle-- steering axle, there, and it caused the bus to lose control." the bus then crossed the median, breaking through cables and crashing into the tractor trailer and an s-u-v. almost immediately, witnesses flooded 9-1-1 dispatch with

phone calls. "the first ambulances and fire apparatus were on scene in less than five minutes." the quick response wasn't enough to save at least eight people. the driver of the tractor trailer, six people riding the church bus, and one of three people inside the s-u-v were all killed. "we hope and pray that there will be no more." ambulances carried some of the injured to nearby hospitals, while others were taken by helicopter. "out of those 14, eight are being treated as critically injured individuals, and we also have two that are serious and four that are currently stable." meanwhile, people in statesville console each other... hope...and pray. i'm andrew spencer, reporting -----end-----cnn.scr ipt----- the italian coast guard says nearly 100 people are dead after a boat capsized off the coast of italy and caught fire. the coast guard says up to 500 people may have been on board. it was thought to be carrying migrants from africa. women and children are among the casualties. 151 have been

saved... but a rescue operation is still underway. lawyers of the only living suspect in the boston marathon bombing say his living conditions in prison... violate his constitutional rights. dzhokhar tsarnaev's lawyers say he is "in near-total isolation," court documents show tsarnaev is banned from praying with other inmates and is only allowed out of his cell to meet with lawyers or spend short periods in an outdoor enclosure. prosecutors argue the restrictions are necessary, due to what they call his "continued desire to incite others to engage in violent jihad." intravenious heroin use combined with alcohol. that's what led to "glee" star cory monteith's death, according to the coroner's report. monteith was found dead in a vancouver hotel room in british columbia, canada on july 13th. he had a history of substance abuse. the report ruled his death an accident. justin bieber is catching flack...

.grabbed his fencing sword.. and started charging towards the suspects. the good samaritan was just coming from fencing practice.. so he was "on-guard" .. so to speak. the shutdown showdown continues for the third day.. and there's no sign of budging on either side of the aisle in congress. for the first time since the government shutdown, congressional leaders met face-to-face with president obama at the white house wednesday night... both sides emerging with no deal and no signs of progress to end the stalemate. the president reiterated one more time tonight that he

will not negotiate. we're through playing these little games. we have a situation right now where if john boehner, the speaker of the house, puts a bill on the floor to reopen the government at current funding levels, so that we can then negotiate on a real budget that allows us to stop governing from crisis to crisis, it would pass. republicans still demanding president obama accept a delay to his signature health care program. but the president says.. he's not giving in. he says he will discuss budgetary issues like taxes, spending and entitlement reform.. if house republicans first agree to reopen the government for several weeks. as part of the government shutdown... the obama administration told the u-s parks department to close off access to all the memorials in washington d-c. but after a group of veterans made news for crossing the barriers at the world war 2 memorial ... the republican national committee... is

offering to pay to keep it open. that's not right and we all know that that's just not fair. so i've come here to announce that that the republican national committee has put aside enough money to hire five security personnel full-time to keep the world war ii memorial open for veterans and visitors across this country. the democratic national committee quickly responded to the r-n-c's offer....calling it a "stunt." problems continue this morning... on maryland's obamacare website. open enrollment began two days ago... but the site still says that there are technical difficulties. we sent emails and left calls with several members of the maryland health connection to find out when it

would be back up, but our calls were not returned. it could mean good news for the president and supporters of obamacare.. because the computer problems are apparently due to exceptionally high interest. the head of baltimore county schools will meet with student and parent advisory boards today for the first time this school year. both the student and parent advisory council provide feedback to dr. dallas dance about issues in the school system. this meeting comes on the heels of concern over the county redistricting plan. dance says the district will need 500 additional seats in the next five years. and finding them will likely mean re-districting many existing schools. that is not good news for parents who bought homes in communities like stoneleigh and loch raven village so their children could go to school there. now, they face the real prospect of being sent to lesser- performing schools. at the end of this month, a redistricting committee is expected to release proposals for parents review. throw a cold one back.. it's

okay! according to research... there's good news for beer drinkers! turns out there are actually a lot of unknown healthy benefits to your brew. wine gets a lot of credit for anti-oxidant benefits... but beer and wine actually contain the same amount anti- oxidants. and -- the protein and b- vitamin content of beer is higher than in wine. beer also contains silicon -- which is found in few foods -- and is linked to bone strength. but -- don't get too excited! experts do add that the alcohol in beer mostly cancels out these benefits. it's received over 15 million hits on youtube and has become one of the most memorable commercials to date. it's hump day - wahoooo!

it's the geico hump day commercial... but not everyone is laughing at the catch phrase. a middle school in vernon center middle school is banning it.. saying it's now become disruptive. "everybody's walking around in the hallways and saying its hump day in that weird voice." "i don't really think its that big of a disruption if people are just doing it in the hallways." that would fund national parks, national institutes of health, and the national guard, but the white house and the senate democrats say it is all or nothing. meanwhile, nearly 800,000 workers across the country are furloughed. among them are some of the nation's intelligence analysts. james clapper says that is putting the country at risk. >> this seriously damages our ability to protect the safety and security of this nation and its citizens. >> reporter: but a report by the weekly standard points out there are more than two million federal employees in the u.s. that means more than 60% are deemed essential and still working, including 86% of homeland security. >> for most people not in direct proximity with the federal government and aren't planning to interact with a federal facility that has shut down, it is mostly business as usual. more than two-thirds of the federal workforce is at business as usual, classify as essential services. >> reporter: charlene israel, cbn news.
